Hello Stampede Family,
On to AREA! The Stampede will be competing on Saturday, October 26th, at the P-Field in Pflugerville at the 5A Area D contest for a chance to go to the UIL State Marching Contest on November 4th & 5th at the Alamodome in San Antonio. I will send out the schedule and itinerary for Saturday once the schedule is finalized and released some time on Wednesday. There are two regions that have their contest on Tuesday of this week. All Region Band auditions are coming up on December 7th &14th. Students in Wind Ensemble and Wind Symphony are required to audition on December 7th regardless of classification. Any freshman students who audition on the 7th and who DO NOT make a region band will automatically be entered to audition for the Freshman Region band auditions on December 14th.
Parents, please make sure your child is on time for marching band rehearsals each morning. We still have kids who are showing up late to rehearsals. We start promptly at 7:30 am and students need to be in their warm-up block with their instruments by 7:30 am. If they are in the front ensemble, they must be here no later than 7:00 am to get the front ensemble equipment moved and ready. The band hall doors are locked at 7:30 am each morning. Please plan accordingly to get your band kiddo here so we can all start on time!
Our eighth football game is coming up on Friday, October 25th, against Cedar Park at Belton ISD Stadium. We will be wearing our full performance uniform for this game. Make sure you have your Dri-Fit Stampede shirt and shorts, with long SOLID black socks, and marching shoes. We turn around on Saturday and head to the P-Field in Pflugerville for the UIL Area Marching Contest. The Gameday itinerary is attached.
Monday night rehearsals….Parents, please make sure you are here promptly at 7:00 pm to pick up your student from this rehearsal.
IMPORTANT!!! PLEASE READ - They have released the SAT testing dates. 1 of the testing dates conflicts with the band event. DO NOT sign up for the SAT on Saturday, December 7, 2024 (All-Region Auditions).
